OGDENSBURG – Dennis DeYoung, a founding member of Styx, will perform July 28 at 7 p.m. at Ogdensburg Free Academy.

“Given that we now have a state-of-the-art auditorium that has the technology to accommodate concerts, the district has decided to offer them to the community. All proceeds from the concert and any future events will be used to support the music and art programs in our district,” Superintendent Timothy Vernsey said in a released statement.

Ticket prices will be on a four-tier level and will be $80, $70, $60, $50 depending on the location of the seats.

Tickets will be available for purchase through Ogdensburg Command Performances (OCP) website, www.ILoveTheatre.org or by calling the OCP box office at 393-2625. Tickets will go on sale at 10:00am on June 1, 2016.

DeYoung is a founding member of Styx and the lead singer and writer on seven of the bands eight Top Ten Hits. His live concert showcases all the STYX Greatest Hits spanning the 70's, 80's, and 90's. The set includes all eight Top 10 hits including Lady, Babe, Come Sail Away, Too Much Time On My Hands, Best Of Times, Mr. Roboto plus the Classic Rock Anthems Renegade, Blue Collar Man, Suite Madame Blue, Rockin The-Paradise and more.

DeYoung is a legendary singer, songwriter, keyboardist, composer and record producer with a career spanning over 40 years. His voice is one of the most recognizable in the music world today and continues to inspire new generations of fans.

“We are very excited to bring a musician and band of this caliber to the George Hall Auditorium. If all goes well, in the future we will try to bring other events to the auditorium that will benefit our students art and music programs while giving the community the opportunity to experience fantastic live performances,” Vernsey said.
