CANTON -- The International Student Exchange is still seeking families in St. Lawrence County willing to host a foreign exchange student from China, Germany, Thailand or Spain.
Each student comes fully insured, and with their own spending money; which covers their cell phone bill, medical needs, activities, school lunches, clothing, and other expenses.
There about 13 spaces left for families to host a student.
Parents need to be their parent, set chores, and make sure house rules are followed and provide a place to sleep and study along with meals when not at school.
Becoming a host family includes an online application and a home visit.
The approval can happen within 24 hours.
