POTSDAM -- For the past five years the St. Lawrence County Youth Bureau STEM internship program has connected young people and employers in paid internships directly related to career goals, education and employer’s needs.
Over the course of the STEM Internship, Lindsay Johnson, pictured above, has been conducting biochemistry research at SUNY Potsdam.
Her project is on the creation of a new assay capable of detecting enzyme activity. These assays could find applications in health and agricultural industries.
