Republican Elise Stefanik retained her seat for a third term representing the 21st Congressional Districtd Tuesday, despite a relatively strong showing by her Democratic challenger, Tedra Cobb of Canton.
Stefanik received 122,863 votes, compared to 90,526 for Cobb and 3,190 for Green Party candidate Lynn Kahn of Schroon Lake.
In St. Lawrence County, Stefanik received 16,773 votes, while Cobb garnered 13,626 and Kahn got 642.
The 21st district includes the 12 northernmost counties in New York State.
The results are unofficial and don‘t include absentee ballots.
