HOGANSBURG -- Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, R-Schuylerville, has announced two Department of Justice grants totaling $1,222,947 to be awarded to Seven Dancers Coalition, Incorporated and the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe, both in Hogansburg.
Stefanik said the funding “will allow both groups to continue to provide crucial services and programs for women who have been affected by harmful situations, and to raise awareness within our communities.”
Violence Against Women grant programs are designed to develop the nation’s capacity to reduce domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking by strengthening services to victims and holding offenders accountable, the announcement from Stefanik’s office said.
