The state Department of Taxation and Finance call center will be open until 7:30 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday to answer last-minute income tax filing questions through the April 17 deadline for people in St. Lawrence County and around the state.

“On the final two days of the income tax filing season—Monday, April 16, and Tuesday, April 17— the call center will remain open until 7:30 p.m. to answer last-minute filing questions,” said Acting Commissioner Nonie Manion.

Income Tax Call Center representatives can be reached by calling 518-457-5181.

“Those with access to a computer or mobile device can quickly find answers to most questions at our website www.tax.ny.gov and, if eligible, choose from among several free-filing options,” Manion said in a press release.

The call center’s usual hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Tax Department’s call center has answered more than 316,000 tax return filing-related questions this filing season so far and expects to answer 28,000 more over the final two days before Tuesday’s deadline.
