State police are asking for the public's assistance in locating a missing adult female from Jay, Essex County.
The release was issued regionally by New York State Police Troop B, which includes St. Lawrence County.
Denise Ann McShane, 51, went missing Wednesday. She was last seen at approximately 11 a.m. when she left her residence to go for a walk.
McShane is described as being 5 feet, 6 inches tall, and approximately 120 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
She was wearing blue jeans, a two-tone blue shirt, a gray sweatshirt, and black Under Armour sneakers.
