POTSDAM – A Potsdam school bus carrying 10 elementary students struck another vehicle while making a turn onto Parmenter Road at around 8 a.m. today.
No injuries were reported, but bus driver Charlene Randall was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way at a stop sign.
According to a release from Superintendent Patrick Brady, the bus was making a left turn onto Parmenter Road when it struck the back left corner of a vehicle traveling east toward Hannawa Falls.
The bus contained 10 elementary school students, who were transported to the school and sent to the nurse's office for observation. No injuries were reported.
Canton-based state police were at the scene.
Parents were notified and students remained in school, according to the release.
The bus did not suffer any damage. The second vehicle was damaged near the back quarter panel, but both vehicles were driven from the scene.
