State police make New Year's Day DWI arrests in Canton, Ogdensburg, Gouverneur and Lisbon

CANTON — A Canton man was charged with driving while intoxicated on County Route 27 early Sunday morning, according to state police.

Giles A. Moore, 53, was charged at 1:06 a.m. with first-offense DWI, aggravated DWI: no prior, drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle on a highway, illegal signal less than 100 feet and failure to notify the DMV of an address change.

He was cited and released.

OGDENSBURG — An Ogdensburg man was charged with driving while intoxicated on State Street early Sunday morning, according to state police.

Nicolas A. Kuca, 25, was charged with first-offense DWI and unlawful possession of marijuana at 2:10 a.m.

His arrest status was not made available.

GOUVERNEUR — A Gouverneur man was charged with driving while intoxicated on U.S. Highway 11 Sunday morning, according to state police.

Michael L. Gilbo, 59, was charged with first-offense DWI, failure to keep right on a two lane road and operating a motor vehicle without an inspection certificate.

He was cited and released.

LISBON — A Lisbon man was charged with driving while intoxicated on Tracy Road Sunday morning, according to state police.

Neil R. Harper, 57, was charged with first-offense DWI and failure to keep right on a two lane road at 1:40 a.m.

He was cited and released.
