Troopers say sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., K9 Shay escaped from the Borderline Kennel on county Route 28 in Lisbon where she was being boarded.
Troopers said she scaled the fence.
The dog was located by her handler, Tpr. Nathan D’Arienzo. He was calling for her near the Lisbon Transfer Station and came out, police said.
Shay has been with D’Arienzo since March 2016 and is a drug detection and cadaver dog. She is named after Tpr. Shawn Snow, who died on the job in 2008, according to state police.
