STOCKHOLM -- State police say they are investigating a hit-and-run incident in which a tractor-trailer reportedly pulled down utility and power lines, snapping two poles and causing damage to a home where the line ripped out.
The accident reportedly occurred June 20 at approximately 5:30 p.m. when a tractor-trailer reportedly traveling northeast on Pickle Street struck a low hanging utility wire.
The wire got stuck on the tractor-trailer and the vehicle pulled down utility and power lines, beaking two poles and causing damage to a residence where the line was ripped out, troopers said.
Interviews with witnesses revealed that it was possibly a red tractor pulling a long, white box trailer, officers said.
The male operator stopped to untangle the wires on his tractor, then left in a northeast direction on Pickle Street.
Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to call trooper Jonathan White at 379-0012.
