MASSENA — State police have identified a person killed in a fatal car-pedestrian accident on County Route 38 Friday, Dec. 4.
Ashley B. McDonald, 33, Lyon Mountain, was struck and killed around 10:30 p.m. by a vehicle being driven by Megan M. Phelix, 32, of Massena.
The accident is still under investigation and no charges have been filed.
The New York State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is assisting with the investigation.
The accident was originally reported as a hit-and-run, but the investigation has determined that the driver never left the scene of the accident, troopers said.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete with Phillips Memorial Home, Massena.
