AKWESASNE -- State police say they are helping tribal and Canadian authorities investigate a woman's death in Snye, Quebec, on the Canadian side of the transnational St. Regis Mohawk Reservation.
Troopers say they received a phone call around 12:50 a.m. Tuesday from the Twin Leaf gas station in Fort Covington indicating that 26-year-old Ryan Lazore had possibly killed someone at a Snye residence.
State police say they contacted Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service (AMPS), who responded to the address and found a dead female.
Troopers are participating in the probe, along with AMPS and Sûreté du Quebec.
Troopers ask anyone with information on the investigation to call AMPS at 613-575-2340.
