LAKE PLACID – Stars on Ice begins its 2012 tour schedule with a Dec. 30 performance in Lake Placid at the Olympic Center that will be recorded for a syndicated TV special.

Stars on Ice is preparing a superstar ensemble of Olympic, World and National Champions from all over the globe for its season, including Olympic Silver Medalist Sasha Cohen; four-time world champion and four-time Canadian national champion Kurt Browning; two-time Olympic gold medalist Ekaterina Gordeeva (Russia); 1998 Olympic gold medalist Ilia Kulik (Russia);world champion and six-time U.S. national champion Todd Eldredge; 2010 Olympic bronze medalist Joannie Rochette (Canada); world bronze medalists and three-time U.S. national pair champions Kyoko Ina and John Zimmerman; 2011 U.S. national champion Ryan Bradley; and two-time European bronze medalists and seven-time British national dance champions Sinead and John Kerr.

In 2012, Stars on Ice will present a limited engagement command performance tour that will visit 10 U.S. cities which have hosted sold out shows before.

The production kicks off at the Lake Placid Olympic Center Friday, Dec. 30, for a 7:30 p.m. performance.

Stars on Ice, founded and produced by Olympic Gold Medalist Scott Hamilton, is one of the premier touring entertainment events in the world. For the 2011-12 season, Kurt Browning has been added to the creative team as co-director and choreographer.
