POTSDAM – A Cruisin’ For Critters motorcycle ride, sponsored by the STAR Touring and Riding Chapter 289, is set for Saturday, Sept. 8, starting from the Potsdam Humane Society’s animal shelter at 17 Madrid Ave.

Registration is from 10 to 11 a.m. and the ride starts at 11:15. Requested donation is $10 per person.

The ride will be about 140 miles, ending at the Potsdam Ponderosa, 185 Market St. At the Ponderosa will be a 50-50 raffle and door prizes.

The event benefits the humane society, its shelter, the animals in its care, and its efforts to find people for the animals.

The ride had been scheduled for June, but was postponed due to weather.

STAR Touring & Riding is a family based motorcycle organization that enjoys raising much needed funds for communities and organizations in need. The local chapter has been running this benefit for 4 years and hopes it continues to grow as participants return year after year.
