AKWESASNE -- The St. Regis Mohawk Tribe will break ground on a $15.5 million Tribal Administration Building.
That will happen today at 3 p.m. at Generations Park, 545 State Route 37.
The tribe anticipates construction of the 54,000 square foot facility will finish next September.
It will be three stories, housing 16 tribal programs with parking for 220 vehicles.
It will also serve as the tribe’s emergency operations center and “address deficiencies associated with the Community Building located at 412 State Route 37,” the tribe said in an announcement.
