LOUISVILLE -- The St. Lawrence Thunder 16U Girls team claimed the NYSAHA Tier II Northern Zone Sectional Championship title this past weekend.
The Thunder went undefeated over the weekend with a 4-0-1 record against teams from Lake Placid, Clifton Park, Plattsburgh, Troy-Albany and Potsdam. The team now qualifies for the NYSAHA Tier II State Championship Tournament as the top seed from Northern New York. The girls take their 22-12-6 overall record to Rochester the weekend of March 13-16 in search of a third state championship.
Team Members include: Sidney Molnar, Maddy Mailhot, Katie MacCuaig, Jayden Young, Abbie Paquin, Kerrigan Rondeau, Mary-Kait Mace , Liza Collins, Bailey Thomas, Mikenna Merry, Molly O'Connell, Raechel Davis Madison Cullen, Samantha Mace and Emilie Walti. The team is coached by Bill MacCuaig, Matt Cullen, Dan Rondeau and Greg Paquin.
