MASSENA -- Transiting Eisenhower Lock in the St. Lawrence Seaway will take a little longer next week.
The Great Lakes-St. Lawrence Seaway System announced today that some repair to the lock, near Massena, will take the north side filling valve out of service beginning Monday, Aug. 27.
The other filling valves will be working, but it will take "a slightly loner time to raise a vessel in the lock," the statement said.
The work is expected to take about five days.
