OGDENSBURG -- St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center collected 582 pounds of food during their 16th Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. food drive.
The event is coordinated through the New York State Office of Mental Health’s Office of Diversity Planning and Compliance and is a component of New York state’s MLK memorial observance.
“SLPC is proud to honor the life of Martin Luther King by serving the community, as he did throughout his life,” said Cortney Delosh, food drive coordinator.
Food collected will benefit organizations that serve the less fortunate.
SLPC employees collected 582 pounds of food to donate among Ogdensburg, Massena, Gouverneur and Watertown food centers.
