St. Lawrence NYSARC’s Community Arts Program participants recently won the “Wilder Wilder Everywhere” video contest.
The competition was held by Playscripts, Inc. and the Wilder Family, LLC.
The contest is part of the ongoing celebration of the 75th anniversary of “Our Town,” in recognition of Thornton Wilder's contribution to American theater as a playwright and novelist.
The St. Lawrence NYSARC' video entry was based on Wilder's playet, “The Message and Jehanne.”
“St. Lawrence NYSARC found a truly creative way to bring Wilder's work to their America,” said Rosey Strub, the Wilder Family's director of programs.
Contestants were invited to submit videos filmed in unexpected, intriguing or iconic settings all over America.
Videos were uploaded to Facebook and finalists were determined by the number of likes each video received. The winner was then chosen by Playscripts and the Wilder Family.
The winning video can be viewed on the Playscripts, Inc. blog at www.playscripts.com/blog/.
