OGDENSBURG -- St. Lawrence NYSARC recently received a $500 boost for the Autism Awareness Walk being held Saturday, Sept. 9 at 10 a.m.
The event is a non-competitive walk to promote Autism Awareness, as well as raise funds to support the local programs for people with Autism, said a press release.
The theme for this year's walk is "Disney" and a costume contest will be staged, with prizes in various categories.
The event will feature refreshments, entertainment, children's activities and a bounce house.
There is no cost to participate, but walkers who raise money from sponsors will receive gifts.
The donation came from St. Lawrence Federal Credit Union.
