St. Lawrence-Lewis BOCES honors 36 high school seniors at recognition dinner

St. Lawrence-Lewis Counties School Boards' Association (SLLCSBA), held its 15th annual Senior Recognition Dinner Sunday at Clarkson University’s Cheel Center.

Each of the St. Lawrence-Lewis BOCES’ 18 component school districts nominated two members of the senior class to honor at the dinner.

They were:

• Aaron J. Kesner, Meghan A. Grow, Brasher Falls Central School District

• Sarah E. Rivers, Kiersten E. Larrabee, Canton Central School District

• Austin Milone, Jonah Trembley, Clifton-Fine School District

• Clare L. Jenkins, Ethan J. Knight, Colton-Pierrepont School District

• Noah J. White, Heather A. Finnerty, Edwards-Knox School District

• Sarah E. Geer, Nicholle L. Gotham, Gouverneur Central School District

• Melissa Anne Proven, Nicholas John Jewett, Hammond Central School District

• Nathaniel Atkinson, Tyler Eddy , Harrisville School District

• Kylea McAdam, Kelsi Leigh Shippee , Hermon-DeKalb School District

• Carter G. Pierce, Courtney L. Young, Heuvelton Central School District

The evening began with entertainment by the Colton-Pierrepont Jazz Band, followed by opening remarks by SLL BOCES District Superintendent Thomas R. Burns. SLLCSBA President Michael Dumas introduced the special guest speaker, Toby J. White, M. Ed. from SUNY Potsdam.

Certificates were presented to each student by Michael Dumas and SLLCSBA Vice President Job Hazen. Final comments were made by NYS Regent Beverly Ouderkirk.
