MASSENA -- Enbridge St. Lawrence Gas in conjunction with the Northeast Gas Association have a new online gas safety training program designed for first responders.
The First Responder Natural Gas Safety Training Program is a self-directed online training program for emergency response personnel with the information they need to safely identify and respond to incidents that involve natural gas pipelines and other natural gas facilities.
Further information on the program can be online at NGAFirstResponder.com.
The program allows participants to complete the training on their own schedule, and provides certification upon completion.
This free training program was designed in partnership with other utilities, fire chiefs, safety trainers, educational experts and instructional design professionals.
It is based on a program first developed by National Grid in 2014.
Enbridge St Lawrence Gas is the local natural gas distribution utility based in Massena, distributing natural gas to over 16,000 customers in St Lawrence, Franklin and Lewis Counties.
