LISBON – Demolition derbies kick off at 1 p.m. at the firemen’s field across from the American Legion.
The first derby will be begin at 1 p.m. followed by the St. Lawrence County Demolition Derby Championship.
Light says anyone who has ever won a St. Lawrence County Championship demo derby or placed first or second in class in a 2016 demo derby can enter.
“It doesn’t matter if it was 20 years ago. If you won you are eligible,” he said.
At the same time the fire department will be serving up chicken barbecue for $10 a meal.
Price for the derby is $5 a head, kids under 12 free.
There will also be a kids’ Power Wheels Derby, and an R.V. and Boat Show all weekend at Lisbon Beach.
The annual chicken barbecue begins at noon at the fire station, with the demolition derby starting at 1 at firemen’s field.
