NORFOLK -- The Youth Conservation Corps recently helped prepare the Norfolk Rod and Gun Club for the Archery Fun Shoot and Black Powder shoot.
The group weedwacked the perimeter of a 12 acre field and around club buildings, washed windows, cleaned and scrubbed the porch and filled the wood shed.
The ten youths were each given a courtesy membership for their work.
“The Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) completed a tremendous amount of work for the club,” said Robert Jones, representative of the club.
“The best crew we have ever had,” said Jones. “They were hard working, demonstrated a positive attitude and worked very well together.”
The youth corps crews have been serving communities around St. Lawrence County for the 37 years. The crews added Norfolk Rod and Gun Club to their list five year ago.
