CANTON – St. Lawrence County’s Office For the Aging is unable to deliver meals to homebound seniors in Canton, DeKalb, Hermon and Russell today due to a lack of staffing.
The county department typically provides daily meals to senior citizens throughout the county. A staff member at the office said a bout of sickness in the office has left them short-staffed, but said seniors also have frozen meals they can eat.
She said things should be back to normal on Monday and that all seniors who are affected have been contacted and informed of the issue.
