The St. Lawrence County Trappers Association will sponsor children ages 11 to 17 attending New York State Department of Environmental Conservation summer camps for 2014.
The DEC operates three camps for ages 11-13 and one camp specifically designed for ages 14-17. Camps provide kids the opportunity to explore the landscape, learn about natural resources, observe wildlife, debate environmental issues, and meet new people.
For information, contact Ethan Reynolds at 212-0283 by Jan. 7. Participants need to write a latter stating why they are interested in attending the camp. Letters can be sent to SLCTA, PO Box 148, Canton, NY, 13617.
