Eleven St. Lawrence County teachers are among 40 teachers from state Sen. Patty Ritchie’s district selected to be honored as “Teachers of Excellence” in Watertown today.
They were nominated for Ritchie’s program by colleagues, former students, friends and family members for their dedication and commitment to education.
The event, featuring local students and an appearance by Ritchie, takes place at 5 p.m. at Jefferson-Lewis BOCES.
Educators from St. Lawrence County who will be honored are:

• Dave Bailey, Madrid-Waddington Central School
• Nicole Morenz, Hermon-DeKalb Central School
• Jennifer Prevost, Fowler Elementary School
• Scott Sargent, Heuvelton Central School

• Christina Frank, Ogdensburg Free Academy
• Juliette Guarino, St. Marguerite D'Youville Academy, Ogdensburg
• Jackie Kelly, Madill Elementary School, Ogdensburg
