NORWOOD -- The St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s office is seeking information on a hit-and-run accident that occurred Thursday morning.
The accident occurred on County Route 35, also known as the Burnham’s Corners Road, just outside the village of Norwood, according to deputies.
A line of vehicles was leaving the village shortly after 8 a.m. on County Route 35, near the River Road, when one vehicle attempted to pass the others. The next vehicle in line also attempted to pass at the same time, deputies said.
The two vehicles collided, sending one vehicle into a ditch. The other vehicle left the scene, deputies said.
The vehicle that left the scene was described as a silver dodge caravan with New York license plates, deputies said.
No injuries were reported, but property damage did occur, according to deputies.
Deputies would like to talk to the operator of the silver vehicle.
Anyone with information on the incident may contact the sheriff’s office at 379-2222.
