OSWEGATCHIE — St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies are requesting public assistance in identifying the driver of a vehicle that was involved in a personal-injury accident with an Amish buggy Monday on SH 184.
The incident took place around 11:40 a.m. near the Losurdo Cheese Plant in Heuvelton, deputies said.
An Amish man was transported to Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center for medical evaluation after his buggy was struck from behind by a vehicle described as a 2006-16 grey or silver Chevrolet Impala. No further details were provided about his medical condition.
The vehicle was last seen traveling west on SH 184 and would have sustained passenger side damage, officers said.
Anyone with information about this accident is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at 315-379-2222 and refer to case 17S-09113.
Heuvelton Fire and Rescue and Ogdensburg Rescue responded to the scene, deputies said.
