CANTON — Canton police say they and the St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Office have arrested six people who were sought in connection with several vehicle break-ins in the village and township late in April.
Charged Wednesday with petit larceny and sixth-degree conspiracy were
• Wallace “Wally” F. Mclaughlin, 19, County Rt. 24, Edwards
• Albert E. Bevins, 19, 100 County Rt. 15, Dekalb Junction
• Derrick A. Jerome, 20, 27 Jingleville Rd., Canton
• Tamara S. Owens, 18, 27 Jingleville Road, Canton,
• Brandon C. Gage, 19, 1332 Ford St., Ogdensburg,
Richard “Ricky” H. Martin, III, 17, of 30 East St. in Rensselaer Falls, was charged with sixth-degree conspiracy.
All six were released with appearance tickets.
Canton Police Department says the sheriff's office has more charges to make in the case.
And the police said they recommend that people should lock their vehicles to prevent theft.
