State Sen. Patty Ritchie wants nominations for the state Senate’s “Women of Distinction” program, which honors community leaders.
Women living in the 48th Senate District, which includes St. Lawrence County are eligible for nomination.
Family, friends or coworkers are invited to make nominations by visiting www.ritchie.nysenate.gov or by calling 782-3418. The deadline for nominations is March 27.
All nominees will be invited to a local recognition ceremony to be held on April 30.
Last year, Senator Ritchie nominated 26 individuals through the “Women of Distinction” program. To learn more about last year’s honorees, visit www.ritchie.nysenate.gov.
“From doctors and teachers to people who volunteer countless hours in the name of bettering their community, over the past several years I’ve had the honor of recognizing dozens of women from across our region who are going above and beyond to make a difference,” said Sen. Ritchie. “This year, I’m truly looking forward to honoring a new group of local women through this special program.”
