CANTON -- St. Lawrence County legislators are planning to meet with three of the 23 applicants for the county administrator position.
St. Lawrence County Legislature Chairman Joseph Lightfoot, said the county received 23 applications for the position currently held by Karen St. Hilaire. Hilaire has served as county administrator July of 2007tor since, but announced she would retire March 31.
The county advertised the position and has candidates from within its own system as well as outside.
Lighfoot said the board will initially schedule only three interviews, but should the candidates not be deemed suitable the county could other applicants.
Interviews are expected to take place in March.
