St. Lawrence County Office for the Aging is accepting new application from eligible people age 60 and older for the Expanded In-Home Services for the Elderly Program (EISEP).
This home care program helps elderly, fragile individuals to maintain quality of life at home.
EISEP provides personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation to St. Lawrence County residents who are not Medicaid eligible.
A confidential in-home assessment will be done to determine a person’s eligibility for the program.
Services provided are on a cost-share basis depending on personal income levels, according to the announcement from the Office for the Aging.
Evaluation for care along with ongoing case management will be provided directly by Office for the Aging’s EISEP Program Manager.
Care received is limited by funding.
To eligibility for service, contact Barbara McBurnie with NY Connects/St. Lawrence County Office for the Aging, 386-4730, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
EISEP is supported by the state Office for the Aging and St. Lawrence County.
