St. Lawrence County Office of Emergency Services will be contacting businesses in St. Lawrence County over the next few weeks to update 911 emergency contact information.
All information collected by the search will be kept confidential, according to Sheriff Kevin Wells.
The updates will enable first responders to be better able to respond to emergencies.
Businesses uncomfortable with providing information by phone may fill out a form supplied by the Office of Emergency Services. Participation in the update is voluntary.
