CANTON -- The St. Lawrence County Office for the Aging recently sponsored a holiday basket drive for senior citizens involved the department’s home-delivered meal program.
Community members, senior clubs and organizations generously donated gift items provided monetary contributions for the baskets.
The contest was a huge success and 80 baskets were created. This was a huge boost from last year’s total of 46.
The holidays can be a lonely time for older adults in the county and these baskets helped make the holiday season brighter
