All the members of the St. Lawrence County Municipal Clerk’s Association are collecting Christmas cards for the “Holiday Mail for Heroes” program.
This effort, which has been growing every year, wants to bring a bit of holiday cheer to our men and women in uniform.
There are some guidelines:
• all cards must be signed.
• use generic salutations such as “Dear Service Member.”
• only cards will be accepted; do not include envelopes or letters.
• do not include e-mail or home addresses.
• do not include inserts of any kind, such as photos.
• avoid cards with glitter, as loose glitter can aggravate the health issues of ill or injured soldiers.
Cards can be dropped off at any local town clerk’s office.
Cards will be collected until Nov. 27.
