Despite a 1 percent increase statewide, St. Lawrence County lost non-farm jobs in November versus the same month last year.
There were 42,700 non-farm jobs in the county last month and 42,900 in November 2015, according to the Department of Labor.
That compares to 9,503,400 statewide in November and 9,398,900 the same month last year, the DOL said.
To our east in Franklin County, the number remained flat at 19,200 last month and in November 2015, the DOL said.
To our west in Jefferson County, the number went up a half percent to 42,900 last month and 42,700 in November 2015.
