The St. Lawrence County League of Women Voters has announced that the New York State League is offering an electronic voters guide, through www.Vote411.org, with information on the candidates in the Nov. 6 general election.
The guide contains information provided by candidates, absentee ballot information, ballot proposition information (where applicable), ID requirements, military and overseas voting information, polling place locations, and voter qualifications.
It can be accessed online through the League’s website at www.lwvny.org. Citizens can compare candidate information and print a customized sample ballot prior to Election Day.
The New York State Judicial Candidate Voter Guide is also available on-line. The 2012 Voter Guide covers elected, trial-level judge positions, other than town and village justices. The biographical information about each candidate is provided by the candidate. Access it at http://www.nycourts.gov/vote/2012/.
The SLC League also distributed copies of the 2012 Voters Guide Part II: Candidate Information to the public libraries in the county as part of its Voter Services outreach. Pick up a copy at your local library or view theGuide online at http://lwvny.org/advocacy/elections/2012/VG_PartII_2012.pdf. It contains responses from the US Senate candidates and the Presidential candidates, as well as general information about voting.
