CANTON -- St. Lawrence County’s website has been shut down after being hacked Tuesday afternoon.
Stlawco.org was hacked early Tuesday afternoon. The homepage included a photo of former President Barack Obama and President Donald Trump. The website was later updated by hackers to include usernames and passwords of several county employees.
A message from the hackers on homepage read “Yo! YOUR SERVERS AND DATABASES ARE HACKED! WE GET A LOT OF INFOs, documents, mails and other important things from your DB and servers. Contact us: 13ourmission37@hackermail.com.”
North Country Now alerted county officials of the incident seeking comment, but has not yet received a response.
