CANTON -- St. Lawrence County has scheduled a public hearing to give the public the opportunity to comment on additions to Agricultural District 2 as recommended by the County Agricultural and Farmland Protection Board.
The hearing will take place Wednesday, May 20, at 7 p.m. in the County Planning Office, room 255 of the County Courthouse, 48 Court St.
This year, the County received requests to add 26 parcels to Ag District 2 that total 1,509 acres. The parcels are located in the towns of Brasher, Massena, Parishville, Pierrepont and Potsdam.
Maps depicting the requested additions are available in the County Planning Office, and in the municipal building of each municipality that is affected by the recommended changes. Digital copies of these maps can also be obtained by emailing: mlarson@stlawco.org.
