The St. Lawrence County Environmental Management Council (EMC) is looking to fill a vacancy on their board.
St. Lawrence County is looking for persons who are interested in sound, long-term planning and who have a concern for environmental issues facing the County.
The Environmental Management Council (EMC) consists of 16 members, including an ex officio member from the Board of Legislators. The EMC advises the county Board of Legislators on matters that affect the environment of the County, provides technical assistance as a staff function and serves as a forum for investigating environmental problems and seeking solutions.
Meetings are held monthly on the third Wednesday in the evening, with committee meetings scheduled in between. Please see the County Website for additional information, http://www.stlawco.org/Departments/Planning/AdvisoryBoards/EnvironmentalManagement Council.
Members of the EMC are appointed by the Board of Legislators for a 2 year term. If you are interested in serving on the EMC, please contact the Planning Office at 379-2292, Room 255. Courthouse, Canton NY or speak with your County Legislator.
