St. Lawrence County will receive $51,546 to supplement emergency food and shelter programs in the county.
The county’s Community Development Program (CDP) will determine how the funds will be distributed among the emergency food and shelter programs run by local service agencies. They are responsible for recommending agencies to receive these funds to expand the capacity of food and shelter programs in high-need areas around the county. Public or private voluntary agencies in St. Lawrence Ciunty interested in applying for Emergency Food and Shelter Program funds must contact David Fenton at St. Lawrence County CDP for an application at (315) 714-2720 or cfo@slccdp.org.
The deadline for applications to be received is June 27, 2018.
The county’s selection was made by a national board that consists of representatives from American Red Cross, Catholic Charities USA, National Council of the Churches of Christ in the USA, The Jewish Federations of North America, The Salvation Army, United Way Worldwide, with the U. S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency serving as the board’s chair.
