NORFOLK -- The St. Lawrence County Board of Legislators appointed Jason Clark to the fill the seat previously by Sallie Brothers D-Norfolk.

Jason Clark serves as spokesperson for the Northern Corridor Transportation Group and previously served as executive director of the Business Development Corporation for a Greater Massena.

The board of legislators unanimously voted Monday night to appoint Clark to fill a seat held by Brothers, who resigned the post for health reasons in September.

Clark resigned his position with the Massena BDC in 2012 following tension with the local municipalities.

Clark now runs his own consulting firm and remains an advocate for a proposed four-lane highway in St. Lawrence County, referred to as “I-98.”

Clark will serve District 12 for the remainder of Brothers' term, which expires in December of 2014.

The district includes the Town of Norfolk and part of Potsdam.
