The St. Lawrence County Board of Elections has scheduled extra hours for people who wish to vote by absentee ballot.
Voters may visit the office at 80 State Highway 310, Canton until 7 p.m. on
• Tuesday, Oct. 25
• Thursday, Oct. 27
• Tuesday, Nov. 1
• Thursday, Nov. 3
They will also be open 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 29 and Saturday, Nov. 5.
They will be issuing absentee ballots. Any voter who will be out of the county on Election Day or those who are physically unable to go the polls are eligible for an absentee ballot.
The deadline for applying by mail is Nov. 1. The deadline for applying in person is Nov. 7.
