County Board of Elections announces dates for registration, enrollment, absentee ballots for GOP presidential primary

The St. Lawrence County Board of Elections has announced dates for registration, enrollment and absentee ballots for the New York State Republican Presidential Primary Tuesday, April 24.

The polls will be open from noon to 9 p.m. for registered Republicans to vote for their candidate from among Ron Paul, Newt Gingrich, Mitt Romney or Rick Santorum.

Mar 30: Last day for applications for registration/enrollment for the primary to be postmarked (must be received no later than 4/4/12) 5-210.3

Apr 4: Last day for “change of address” to be received at the Board of Elections for processing for the April 24th election. 5-208.3

Apr 17: Last day to apply by mail for absentee ballot for primary. 8-400(2c)

Apr 18: Board of Elections Office will remain open until 7 p.m. for the purpose of (Wed.) issuing absentee ballots.

Apr 21: Board of Elections Office will be open from 9 a.m. to noon for the purpose (Sat.) of issuing absentee ballots.

Apr 23: Last day to deliver absentee ballot application or apply in person for an absentee ballot at the Board of Elections. 8-400(2c)

Apr 23: Absentee ballots for primary must reach the Board of Elections by the close of the polls on Primary Day EXCEPT ballots postmarked by the postal service not later than the day before election may be received until seven days after election. 8-412

Apr 24: Primary Election Day – Polls open noon until 9 p.m.
