POTSDAM -- The executive director of SLC Arts will be leaving the area and moving back to Washington State after a year and a half at the helm of the local arts association.
Rebekah Wilkins-Pepiton moved to the North Country in 2012 and was selected to be the executive director of SLC Arts. She and her family will be leaving the North Country on June 1 to return to the Inland Northwest after nine years’ absence from that region.
Wilkins-Pepiton says of her time here, “I hope in the last eighteen months I've contributed to making the North Country a better place for artists to live and work.”
The board of directors for SLC Arts has opened a search for a new executive director of the organization.
SLC Arts, also known as the St. Lawrence County Arts Council, is a not-for-profit community service organization which works to Build Community Through the Arts with Artist Support, Community Art Education and Cultural Enrichment.
