POTSDAM -- The St. Lawrence County Arts Council offers three grants for artists, arts organizations, municipalities and non-profit organizations in St. Lawrence County.
Art fellowships commission new, community-engaging projects.
Teaching artists’ fund encourages artists to partner with K-12 schools to offer curriculum-enriching projects in a classroom setting.
Community arts grants fund public arts experiences in an effort to foster creative communities.
Application deadlines are Sept. 1 for public arts fellowships and teaching artist fund, and Oct. 1 for community arts.
All first-time applicants are required to attend a workshop in the current year prior to submitting an application. Returning applicants are strongly encouraged to attend, according to the arts council.
Workshops are free, and are scheduled throughout June, July and August in St. Lawrence County.
