POTSDAM -- On Wednesday, October 6th the St. Lawrence County Arts Council will host individual consultations to help visual artists and crafts people improve their professional materials and strengthen the business side of their arts careers.
Artists can register for a half-hour consultation between 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. at 51 Market St. Artists can get feedback on their artist statement, their portfolio, their website, or get advice on finding galleries or other aspects of their arts career. The fee for each half hour is $25. The consultations will be held at the
North Country artists Kasarian Dane and Sara Lynch will serve as one-on-one consultants.
Also throughout the evening, SLC Arts Council Executive Director Hilary Oak will be available to provide information on resources and grants available for artists through NYFA and other organizations.
When you call to register, be prepared to briefly describe what artistic style and media you work in, and what type of feedback and assistance you are interested in. Call 265-6860 to register in advance.
