CANTON -- The St. Lawrence County Human Resources Department is accepting applications until Dec. 21 from people who wish to take the Civil Service test on Feb. 11 for corrections officer positions, # 68-323.
The examination is open to anyone in the county who is a high school graduate or who has a high school equivalency diploma or an Individual Education Plan diploma.
An applicant must also have a valid New York State Motor Vehicle Operator’s license "or otherwise demonstrate a capacity to meet the transportation needs of the position," the notice says.
